I changed it to every 15 minutes, and that solved the problem.

I could hear the harp sound I assigned to mail 'doing its stuff' all the time with the new mail being added and me hearing the change in the number of new e-mails being displayed on the mail icon.

However, I now have to open 'mail' now before I hear the harp and the mails update.

Hello all, I have another problem with the upgrade to my new i Phone 6.

Everything works fine now and IOS 8.1 looks ok to me.

Older versions of Outlook, including Outlook 2013 the November and December updates will function normally.

An Outlook update which resolves this issue is nearing completion and being worked with priority to be released as soon as possible.

That is, when the screen is locked I used to get notifications from apps like Apps Gone Free to say the new free apps were available, BBC News to notify me of new news stories and the BBC news sound to accompany them, Groupon when a new offer came in and e Bay when an item had been dispatched. Now, with my new 6 with the upgrade to IOS 8.1 this no longer happens.

Can someone put a finger on why and what the solution is?

The more likely answer is you've got a corrupted Send/Receive group in your copy of Outlook. First, open up the Send/Receive Settings dialog, by selecting Tools-> Send/Receive Settings. You'll see an area for group names, as shown in Figure A. (click for larger image) In the main field, you'll likely see a group called All Accounts. But if you're using a different group, click it instead. Make sure both of these are unchecked, but only for the old group. I need to extract the following information: Date, Time, Senders name, and Subject.

These appear on emails being sent to a support mail address into Excel.
